Description

The Klein Nektar Wine & Olive Estate is a picturesque manor home built in 1860 and is located in Montagu. This beautiful Cape Dutch dwelling was one of two heritage houses with a cellar, forming an integral part of the main house. Situated along the very popular Route 62, this 3-hectare farm dwelling is surrounded by the majestic Langeberg mountains and is a favourite amongst many foreign and local visitors.

Accommodation is provided in 2 self-catering units, which include the manor home and the guest cottage.

The manor house comprises 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and boasts an open-plan living and dining area with a comfortable leather couch in front of the fireplace, and a 3-metre solid Imbuia dining table with chairs for up to 8 people. The lounge is fitted with DStv and Netflix. The large kitchen is fitted with a traditional AGA stove, a gas stove, a fridge-freezer, a microwave, crockery and cutlery. The sheltered patio area is well equipped with a built-in braai. Guests can cool off in the swimming pool, or just recline in a pool lounger under the trees.

Klein Nektar Self-Catering Cottage is off grid (no electricity) and can accommodate 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, each containing a queen-size bed, and 1 bathroom fitted with a shower. Other facilities include solar-powered lamps, a gas-heated geyser for warm water, a gas fridge and freezer, and a gas stove and oven. This unit features an open-plan fully equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge area, and a terrace. A braai area is available in the private garden, overlooking the mountains and olive groves.

Guests can admire expansive views of the olive groves, paddocks, and imposing mountains, while enjoying a braai in your own private garden. Guests can also explore the rest of the farm by ambling through the olive trees, fruit orchards, and chardonnay vineyard. The Cottage is also equipped with a private Kol-Kol wood-fired hot tub, perfect for sundowners on a hot Montagu evening.

Smoking is permitted outdoors only. Unfortunately, the property or estate cannot accommodate pets.
