Description

Surrounded by the hills of the Vredefort Dome, Kleinbos Game Breeders Gaste Huis is situated on a working farm with game, sheep, cattle and chickens, and offers guests views and easy access to the river.

Kleinbos Game Breeders can sleep up to 8 people, and consists of the 3-bedroom farmhouse, and the adjacent bungalow that can sleep 2 people. The adjacent bungalow is furnished with a double bed, and has a TV with DStv. The unit also has an en-suite bathroom with a bath.

The thatched main house offers 3 bedrooms that share 2 full bathrooms. The main bedroom is reached by stairs, and is furnished with a king-size bed. The room opens onto 2 balconies, and it has a private bathroom with a shower and a bath. The other 2 rooms are situated on the ground floor, and share the use of a bathroom with a bath and a shower. The 1 room has a king-size bed, and the other a double bed.

The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a microwave, a stove, an oven, as well as the necessary cutlery and crockery. The living area has a TV with DStv, as well as a fireplace.

The house opens onto 2 stoep areas; 1 is a braai area made from mountain rock, while the other is a traditional farmstead patio with pillars, and overlooks the river. Guests can also relax in the naturally integrated river lapa which has a boma with a firepit and braai area. The house is strictly non-smoking, and smoking is only allowed in the outside guest areas.

The river bank offers birdwatching, as well as various hiking trails, and the stream has 8 rapids making it ideal for fly- and deep-water fishing. Ecological friendly practices are applied to make Kleinbos Game Breeders unique with regards to rare game breeding programs, and rehabilitation.
