Description

Located on a 3000-hectare wilderness area sharing two borders with the Groendal Nature Reserve, just north of Uitenhage, Kleinrivier Mountain Escapes is situated only 70 km from Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).

Guests have a choice of private self-catering units that can accommodate between 2 to 8 people, and a campsite for up to 10 people. The individually decorated units are furnished with double beds, queen-size beds, or single beds, and have private bathrooms with showers. Each unit has a kitchenette with a fridge, a stove, and a dining area, and guests can relax in private lounge areas with a cosy fireplace. The units open onto private patios with views of the surroundings.

The campsite comprises ablution facilities, wood-fired donkey water heater, a shower, and a flushing toilet, and guests have use of a covered braai with seating.

With its pristine mountain fynbos, the shade of riverine forests, guests will see a variety of birds and game such as kudu and klipspringer, and Kleinrivier Mountain Escapes various walking trails that can be explored to find the mountain pools to swim in.
