Klondyke Farm is a working fruit farm with apples, pears and cherries. They are situated 1200 meters above sea level offering cool summers and crisp winters. Each cottage is fitted with a lovely fireplace to keep guests warm and toasty.
The farm offers 3 comfortable self-catering cottages and 8 campsites with electrical points. All 3 cottages are fully equipped for self-catering, but there is no TV available. Bedding and towels are provided. There is a stove, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle and a toaster in each of the kitchens. There are additional heaters in all the rooms and electric blankets on the beds. Each cottage has an indoor fireplace and an outdoor braai. Additional firewood - R25 per bag to be paid into the "honesty jar" please.
Klondyke Farm also offers a campsite for tents or vans. There is poor cell phone reception at the cottages, but we do have a good signal in the driveway of the office.
Ceres is a beautiful town with lots of things to do in and around the area. If guests feel like exploring nature they can do a mountain trail at Matroosberg exploring their rock pools or can take a hike up the Christie Prins hiking trail near Prince Alfred's Hamlet. For the adrenaline junkies, there's the Ceres Zipslide which is the longest slide in the Western Cape, MTB routes at Eselfontein Farm, 4x4 and quads to hire at Matroosberg Reserve.
