Really enjoyed my time.

Location was very good and very neat.

Compact and convenient.

Suggestion: Tea, sugar, coffee and milk were in short supply for guests.

The place is literally by the sea, 100 m walk away from the sea. Service is very good.

Comfortable and peaceful

We booked for 3 nights in Aug, and we really enjoyed being able to visit Paternoster again. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, with no major problems. But I'm going to take the liberty of mentioning a few annoyances that might need attention. On our arrival on Friday afternoon, there was no DStv decoder and remote control. We went to report it on Saturday morning and by afternoon it was installed. But there was no remote control, so we had to push buttons for the rest of the weekend to change channels. The second problem was that we wanted to braai and it is mostly a given that there is a braai grill available in self-catering units. We had to go and buy a barbecue grill and matches, because there was nothing in the cottage. We left the grill there when we left, and hopefully the next visitors will be able to use it. The third problem is that I was slightly surprised that there were no bathroom mats. It's extremely unpleasant to get out of the hot shower onto the cold cement floor. The fourth problem was the microwave oven not heating. I reported it and the furnace was replaced with another one Saturday afternoon. Perhaps the small items could receive more attention, so that they are more acceptable and convenient for the guests. The cottage is ideal for two people, with a nice porch and braai area inside and outside. The beds sleep very comfortably and the shower was wonderfully spacious and very hot. I will definitely book Cumin 2 again, but next time we will also book Cumin 3 and 1 together, so the whole family can visit together.

Very good location, but sparsely equipped.

Apart from a folding grill, no further barbecue equipment is provided. Only one roll of toilet paper provided despite inquiries from staff. No apartment service of any kind. No hot water on arrival. Had to wait for technicians (very friendly) to get hot water cylinder running. No drawers or shelves or even a chair available in bedroom to unpack clothes. Big disappointment that there is no seafood for sale (except illegal small undersized lobsters on the street). Also had a great time, thank you.

Nice and quiet and close to the beach. Cold evenings, nice fireplace inside or outdoor braai area.

Not at all. The cravish hawkers kept disturbing us and it was unsafe.

Maybe they can put a new beter bed in the apartment. The bed is worn.

We had a great time. Komyntjie 2 is nicely sheltered, close to everything (the sea, the shop and the beach) and we will definitely visit again. If I had to criticize, I would suggest a softer bed. Otherwise absolutely great!
