Kruger Maroela Lodge

Baie lekker gekuier en leeus gehoor.

Sal dit vir enige iemand aan beveel.

Dit was baie aangenaam. Alle chalets is bymekaar, maar tog absoluut privaat. Ons sal weer kom.

Ons het meer diere gesien oor die paasnaweek as wat ons soms vir 'n week in die wildtuin sien. Dit is direk langs Kruger geleë en het ons twee maal per dag langs die Krokodilrivier gery en baie wild gesien.

Vriendelike diens.

Rustig, veilig en netjies.

Pragtige plek, vinnige diens.

Geen probleme. Swembad skoon.

The chalet is very neat, clean and well equipped.

The stay was enjoyed and well priced.

It was a great getaway.

Shall visit again. Great place to hang out.

Lovely stay. Did not see much animals. As it was our first time we heard that animals come right up to the places. At Maroela we did not see much but the bird life was very good.

Some suggestions. As we arrived no one helped us with our luggage or informed us of the rules. We were not sure if rooms get cleaned or not. I did ask the second day and someone told me they are not too sure but think it is only cleaned when we check out. We ran out of toilet paper the first morning already as well as black bags for the rubbish in the kitchen. The one night as electricity came back on the music was playing. At about 8h30 that evening I walked around to see that no one was around. I searched for the player to switch off the music. Not sure if there should be a person around but there was no one to be seen from when they left in the afteroon until around 10h00 the following morning. We 4 ladies were left alone. No one came to let us know that we will be alone. Saying that I was not scared at all it would just be nice to get a bit more info and enquiries from the people. Otherwise we had a good stay.

We did not spend much time in the day at the lodge as we went into the Kruger daily.

We were warmly greeted on our arrival. The only issues we had: 1. There are no small plastic bags for sanitary products and these items cannot be flushed due to the drainage system. 2. Was told there was a full DStv bouquet, but this was not what we found when we arrived. There were limited channels available. 3. The pool had no water in. Not that we were around to swim, but should we have wanted to this would have been a problem.

Dit was koud en nat die naweek, maar het lekker gerus.

Met al die reën kon ons nie baie rondry nie en dan raak die plekkie maar beknop.

Dit was lekker maar dit is bietjie vervelig onder omstandinghede.

Die beligting in die vertrekke is baie swak. Mens het die ligte nodig omdat die vensters in die vertrekke klein is. Die braai se braaisif was stukkend. Gordyne kan nie oop getrek word nie dit is aanmekaar vas.

Dit was 'n baie rustige wegbreek in die bos.

Wou net bietjie wegkom vir die naweek maar ook gemaklik slaap. Die uitleg van Kruger Maroela is baie goed. Jy is tussen mense maar tog het jy jou privaatheid. Personeel is baie vriendelik en hulpvaardig. Ons kon baie gemaklik kom en gaan soos ons wou.

Plekkie is waarde vir geld, eenheid was baie skoon stil en privaat.

Die Kersmiddagete was teleurstellend. Ons het 'n boodskap ontvang met die spyskaart en wat bedien sou word, maar op die dag was die kos wat bedien is nie dieselfde nie. Die poedings was smaakloos en party mense het baie minder kos as ander gekry. Van die kos was koud soos die pampoen en aartappels. Die sitplekke was heeltemal oorvol, hulle het byvoorbeeld al die mense op die grondvloer geplaas waar hulle ook die boonste vloer kon gebruik het en nie almal so opmekaar laat sit het nie.

Uitstekende en vriendelike mense en plek.

Ons was vriendelik ontvang en het heerlik by die lodge gekuier. Slaapplek was gemaklik en in rustige area. Sal definitief weer Maroela toe gaan.

Very nice place to stay. Enjoyed the visit a lot.

Far too noisy!

We were looking forward to our break from the city and the peace and quiet of the bush, however this was not possible at Kruger Maroela Lodge. While the chalets are quaint, set in the bush and well-equipped, the following was a problem for us: Chalet 3 (where we stayed) is right on top of the restaurant. The constant loud music coming from the restaurant made it impossible to enjoy the tranquility of the bush as a family. When guests had left, the waiters and other restaurant staff played their music until we finally had enough and complained (on 2 of the 3 nights we were there). No noise control over loud music coming from other chalets and chalets are set very close together. It seems there is no respect among restaurant staff and guests. Management was not there to greet us, nor were they around during our stay. We saw them for the first time when we checked out. The two single beds had been prepped with the mattress upside down. My children had springs sticking into them until we finally realised what the staff had done, turned the mattresses and remade the beds. After staying at Kruger Maroela Lodge we went on to stay in a house in Marloth Park. We paid very similar rates and had the entire 8 sleeper house to ourselves. It was much nicer accommodation and the attention to detail was amazing. We felt like we mattered at guests and our stay has been truly amazing. Taking this into account, Kruger Maroela Lodge is way over priced for the accommodation they offer. We visited the lodge 10 years ago when it was still owned by the original owners. It was amazing. Sad to say that it seems to have become a commercial spot, too much focus on the restaurant and not enough focus on the comfort of guests that are paying a lot to stay there. Sadly, we will not be back.

We did have a nice stay, however on arrival at night we had no hot water as the geyser was not put on. The chalet that sleeps 6 is very small, although quaint. Very clean, comfortable beds but very hard seating inside. Nice private pool and braai area. Staff friendly and willing to help.

The place, the view and nature part of the place was amazing.

Vriendelike ontvangs en dit was vreeslik lekker met die lugversorgers. Baie netjies en skoon.

Dit was n wonderlike regtig 'n fantasties kuier.

Wil net baie dankie se aan die mense van Krrger Maroela Lodge, die plek was amazing ons het ons verblyf vreeslik baie geniet. Ons sal weer van jul gebruik maak in die toekoms.

Netjies, gasvry en rustig.

Ons het ’n lieflike naweek gehad. Die plekkie is perfek. Mooi wild gesien, en winkels met alles wat nodig is, is naby geleë.

Skoon, netjies, lekker blyplek.

Ons eenheid was so te sê teen die heining van Lionspruit. Die voëllewe was ongelooflik! Dit is ’n baie mooi eenheid en is baie prakties (storte bietjie klein). Alles is daar wat nodig is. Het groot waardering vir die privaatheid wat so goed tussen al die eenhede bewerkstellig is. Het die dek en swembad baie geniet! Sal weer kom!
