What a disappointment.

Slept at one of the country group's other hotels the night before. Kuruman Inn is the exact opposite experience. Rooms' furniture is old, everything feels dirty. Not even a holder for towels. Pull down the curtains. To say the least. Do not recommend at all.

Less nice night in Kuruman.

The rooms are spacious and quite tidy. Dinner was reasonable, although the steak was on the tough side. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. The problem is the location. Trucks and cars passing by were very disturbing. Got very little sleep. People don't seem to mind the curfew.

It was a lovely overnight facility on our route to Port Nolloth.

The staff were helpful and very friendly, the room was wonderfully cozy and we immediately felt welcome. The food was great and we ate way too much of the variety - we had a great time and I definitely suggest that people traveling on the route spend the night there. It had been a pleasant experience.

The pictures are very misleading. We booked a family room and then had to sleep in 2 separate rooms. My son and I were bitten by bed bugs, the showers didn't work well! Only saw all the bad reviews later. Very disappointed in website to still recommend such place.

Good half way overnight stop to the Kgalagadi.

The hotel is well located. Rooms were neat and adequate and the overnight parking was safe. Dinner in their restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was standard - bacon and eggs, but well prepared. One major drawback was that the hotel was adjacent to a private residence, where loud music was played until the early hours of the morning. According to the hotel staff, this is a regular occurrence. This may mean that we may not want to stay here a second time, which would be a shame as this is now the third December in a row that we have stayed at Kuruman and the hotel is definitely the best value for money. than the previous guesthouses.

Unacceptable

The faucets in the shower were not marked for cold and hot water while the soap dispenser was completely empty. At 20h45 after almost 10 minutes of running both taps, we noticed that there was NO hot water. Other units must have used it up because there was hot water the next morning. The "signposting is non-existent" in the evening. There are no street lights, illuminated signage and/or "reflecting" badges. After driving past 3 times in the dark we finally found the place. There is no security for the exit gate (just the push of a green button), so once crooks are inside the grounds, they can simply break open your car and drive off. In any case, the entrance gate takes so long to open and close that "tailgating" is no problem.

What is advertised is not what you get. Photos extremely misleading. Food in restaurant excellent.

Definitely not up to standard, the room shown to me on your website that I clicked to book was nowhere near what we actually found.

I am not writing this to you because I am a person who finds fault with everything, but to point out to you that what was advertised by you is definitely not what we found. I am also not exaggerating when I point out to you the following that was not to your liking. 1. First, the room was cramped, without any window, certainly not as advertised by you. 2. The door that could open which I suspect would serve as a window could not open and opened on the guests sitting and eating outside. Note: Our double bed was right in front of the door. 3. The toilet (at least there was a small window here) smelled of urine and there was no toilet paper available, I had to ask at reception. 4. There was a small built-in dressing table with no stool in front of it, under the dressing table was a small fridge with a kettle on it which just turned off before the water boiled, it was difficult to use the mirror. 5. Because I could not open the curtain in front of the door, otherwise I am literally in the company of the people sitting outside eating, the room was oppressively hot and dark. The main light in the room didn't work and our two ladies really struggled to put on make-up the next morning. Upon our arrival I reported the light not working and pointed out to them that we would need the light to do our makeup the next day, nothing was done. 6. The wall plugs at our disposal were very few, I had to boil water next to the only bedside table by the double bed. 7. We had to spend the night on our beds, because there was no chair available to sit on. 8. The air conditioner was also not working properly, when we checked in there was no remote control available to control the air conditioner. I reported this to reception and they brought us a remote control. My husband really struggled to get the air conditioner to work properly through the night, the temperature kept getting stuck or running back to 26 degrees. It was a hot night outside and inside the room, remember we couldn't open any window or door. It sounds truly unreal, but it was indeed the case in room 9 of the Kuruman Inn. I am also unhappy about the price we had to pay and endure so much inconvenience. We were 3 adults in a very small space. If I wanted to be very critical there are still points I could point out. I have slept in much better facilities for less money. However, I would like to conclude by complimenting them on their breakfast which was fantastic. Their bedding was also impeccably neat and clean. I feel I bring the above to your attention because your ad I saw was definitely not what I received. Thank you Mrs. Molly Meintjes

Kuruman Inn is good value for money. The only issue is the noise from the main road next to it.

Nice. No soap in the two rooms. Just one small bar of soap and a big towel per room.

No problem with the "Inn" except that the name on the hotel is still Kalahari Lodge or something like that. Wasn't sure I was at the right place.

Excellent value for money.

Will stay there again when necessary.
