La Bastide offers charming and unique guest house accommodation in the valley of the timeless Magaliesberg mountain range, 15 minutes from Hartbeespoort Dam. The guest house is situated on an old farm, and the distinct countryside atmosphere still resonates in the gardens and architecture.

The accommodation was designed to cater to the varied needs of visitors to the area. Many guests attend weddings at nearby venues, so need a place to spend the night. Others are looking for a break from the city and want to absorb the fresh air, tranquillity and beautiful surroundings. The abundance of exciting activities in the area also attract those who would like to take a few days out to have some fun with friends and family. The guest house was started in 2003, and has a typical French country-style ambience which suites the beautiful surroundings.

La Bastide offers 2 self-catering cottages and 6 guest rooms, which in total can host between 18 to 25 guests. They are all unique in interior and exterior spacing and design, and are fondly named after the nature found on their doorstep. The cottages are ideal for the weekend travellers, or for those who come for longer periods to relax and recharge. Each cottage has its own private entertainment space, and there are also several communal spaces for larger groups to get together. The guest rooms are ideal for those who stay for 1 night, or for those who tend to visit the area for a quick country getaway, weddings, cycling races, hot air balloon rides, and other interesting activities. There is a swimming pool for guests to use.
