Restful.

The cottage's best attribute is its ideal location, especially for the dogs who travelled with us. It is a comfortable, non-pretentious beach cottage, which is what we were looking for. It has some limitations (lack of an inverter), and we were expected to use the sheets and towels provided for our entire ten-day stay. Also, a cold and wet spell in the middle of our stay meant we looked for a heater or extra blankets, neither of which were provided in the house, unfortunately.

It is located in a very nice place with a nice view.

Things need to be upgraded. The beds were very disappointing. The kitchen utensils, specifically the pots, were lacking. There was only one garbage plastic bag. There was no toilet paper, tea, or coffee. Yes, it is self-catering, but at least tea, sugar, and coffee should be provided.

Very surprised by your review, the property is very well equipped & we just did maintenance to the house prior to your arrival. With the house being self catering, we provide the absolute basics for your arrival. We did provide some toilet paper so unsure of your comment there. All the best.

Had a lovely family vacation.

The house was exactly as described. The house was big enough for the whole extended family. Just come prepared for extended periods of power outages. House has a few lights but no gas to cook on. We had a great vacation. Lovely walks on the beach each day. Short drive to the shop. House is not fancy but has everything you need.

Oh wow! I am lost for words to describe how our stay was, it was exactly what we have imagined.

This was the best weekend ever. The location was perfect for all of us, the house was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. Our friends who are a married couple enjoyed the main bedroom and the chair in the bathroom was a highlight for them.

What an amazing weekend.

We had such an awesome time here, everything we could have wanted was readily available at the house, we literally felt at home. I would definitely recommend.

We had a great holiday. Loved the view from the braai area.

We had a very nice stay. Kids loved paying with their plainball and the grass in the front. Street not too busy. And a walk little walk then you are on the beach. Loved our stay.

Was lekker behalwe vir die water probleem

Julle moet mense in lig oor die watersituasie. Dis nie die eienaar se fout nie. Ons moes kort-kort die munisipale water en tank water om ruil vir water. Een dag was daar ook 'n kragonderbreking en was daar geen water beskikbaar nie. Laat mense voorbereid kan wees.

Thanks for the review.
We will definitely inform future guests of the Water crisis in Port Alfred.
There are water tanks that provide water to the entire house ensuring that you do have water during your stay regardless if you have municipal water or not.
Unfortunately the electricity outage was out of our control and we were not aware of it therefore couldn't do anything with this regard.
