Nice clean unit that suited our needs. A good base to explore the area, and close to various sights, restaurants and things to do.

Cozy, relaxing, quiet, enjoyable.

It was a lovely stay. It was secluded in a way which was great for escaping the city and the noise. The cottage was small, but cozy enough for us! The owner was very friendly and everything was very organised and easy. There were no hassles. The owner contacted me beforehand and sent me the location to the cottage as well as gave us directions to the cottage. We had a very nice time there.

The Tower at Landy Lane Cottages is charming and has everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Charmaine is a great hostess. Highly recommended!

I booked at the Tower, very small kitchen with steep steps going up to bedroom.

Shower is not very good, mostly cold water. Not for the feeble or sick. However, Charmaine was kind to move us to a cottage for the remainder of our stay, which was excellent.

Friendly host family.

We enjoyed our two nights in this spacious cottage with very comfortable beds and a lovely shower — two things that always count for me.

Lovely, clean and well equipped cottage.

I had a great time exploring Midland Meander and staying at Landy Lane cottage. The communication with the host was great, the location was convenient and you could see the love they put in setting up the cottage. The kitchen was well equipped and cooking was made easy. I will be back next time I´m in the area.

Charmaine was friendly. The unit was just what I needed. Compact and warm.

Impressed with it being off the grid. Hot water bottles 10 stars. Ample blankets even better.

Lieflike ligging en pragtige cottage.

Ons het heerlik gebly in die Landy Lane Cottage, pragtige ligging en ideaal geleë op die R103 om die Midlands te verken. Vriendelike gasvrou en het uit haar pad gegaan om ons te akkommodeer. Die cottage is heeltemal "off the grid", so geen loadshedding of waterprobleme nie. Ons het dit so geniet en sal definitief weer by Charmaine tuisgaan. As ek 'n voorstel kan maak, sal dit wees om miskien 'n groter yskas in te sit, wat gevriesde produkte ook kan vat vir gaste wat langer as een nag oorbly. Daar is tans net 'n "bar fridge". Charmaine was wel tegemoetkomend en ons kon ons vleis in haar vrieskas sit. Baie dankie.

Rustige atmosfeer, skoon en gerieflik, bedagsame gasvrou.

Skoon en netjies met alles wat nodig is vir 'n gerieflike oornag of sentrale punt om die Midlands Meander te besoek.

Warm, comfortable, just what we needed.

Charmaine and her family were warm and welcoming, and my daughter loved feeding the horses on the farm. The room was warm and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. There's a farm stall nearby that does breakfast and lunch, which was very convenient. The cottage was well-signposted and easy to find.

Langnaweek kuier in Landy Lane en Tower Cottage.

Ons het met die intrapslag welkom gevoel en 'n heerlike lang naweek in hierdie netjiese, goedtoegeruste kothuisies gespandeer. Al was dit 'n bitter koue naweek was ons snoesig warm te danke aan meer as genoeg komberse, warmwater sakke en gasverwarmer.

Gasvry.

Charmaine is vreeslik vriendelik en gasvry. Verblyf is skoon en netjies. Sal beslis aanbeveel.

I found what I wanted and needed @ Landy Lane.

Baie goeie ligging met vriendelike en hulpvaardige gasvrou.

Uitstekende gasvryheid, mooi uitsig en vriendelikheid oral waar ons in die omgewing was.

Nice relaxing stay.

The Tower was sufficiently equipped and clean. Nice not been subjected to loadshedding. Charmaine welcomed us and made us feel at home. Easy access to the Meander. Enjoyed the stay.

Heerlik, rustig en skoon.

Hou van die Landy's (Land Rovers). Eienares baie vriendelik en hulpsaam. Beslis waarde vir geld.

Groen landskappe en 'n oulike blyplekkie.

Die inklokproses is baie maklik en die eienaar is baie gasvry. Die tower cottage is enig in sy soort- dis soos 'n tiny house. Die slaapkamer het 'n pragtige uitsig - perde en 'n groen landskap! Daar is ook veilige onderdakparkering. Dis baie naby aan die treinstasie en dis ook 'n unieke ervaring om die trein te hoor verby ry. Die plek is naby aan die Railhouse Farmstal en hulle ontbyt was fantasties! Dit was lekker om hier te kon bly!

We stayed in the Tower which is like a tiny house. It was well designed and had everything you needed for a short stay. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and the place is off the grid so there were no service interruptions. Well placed to access the meander.

Relaxing and rejuvinating.

The place is cosy, clean and quaint. Host was friendly, accommodating and pleasant. I loved the setup and will be back again for another trip to Midlands. I took time out to relax and unwind, left the city in the city. Landy Lane Cottages was the perfect place to do so.

Goeie ligging en gemaklike verblyf.

Ons aand in die Midlands was asemrowend as gevolg van Landy Lane Cottages. Die plek is skoon, op n baie goeie ligging en voldoen aan alles wat jy nodig het om te oornag in die berge. Daar is baie restaurante en aantreklikhede naby aan hulle. Binne die cottage is daar pamflette wat presies vir jou wys waar en hoe vêr die plekke is. As gevolg van "loadshedding" is daar nie altyd selfoon opvangs om die plekke op die GPS te kry nie. Die pamflette het goed te pas gekom. Die eienaar het tot speelgoed gebring waaroor my kinders mal was.

Landy Lane Cottages is baie goed toegerus met alles wat nodig is. Charmaine se aanwysings was baie volledig. Daar is ook veilige onderdakparkering. Ons sal beslis weer daar oorbly.

Was aangenaam.

Wat pla: die stort is wisselvallig. Dan koud dan brand jy. Daar was nie braaihout nie. Die lig in die hoofslaapkamer sit verkeerd. Ek hou daarvan om te lees voordat ek slaap. Nou gooi die lig skaduwee op die binnekant van die boek. Hulle kan ook groot asseblief 'n ordentlike ketel voorsien om op die gasstoof te gebruik.

Baie lekker en bekostigbare plek as jy 'n toer by Michaelhouse het.

Charmain was baie behulpsaam. Selfoonsein (veral tydens loadshedding) is wel baie sleg in die hele area. Moenie beplan om daar te werk nie.

Huisie is gerieflik ingerig, lekker geslaap en Charmaine is baie gasvry.

Gemaklik, goed vir die siel en waarde vir geld.

Die mense is ongelooflik vriendelik. Die omgewing is so mooi met die natuur en die diere. Die woonstel is mooi en alles wat 'n mens nodig het. Sal beslis weer daar gaan oorslaap.

Rustig en landelik.

Altyd lekker om die Midlands Meander te besoek en elke keer word mens verras deur hoeveel daar te doen en te sien is. Landy Lane is seker effens weg van die groter toegangsroetes maar dit is heerlik stil. En Charmaine he vir ons die presiese ligging aangestuur. Die gastehuis is groot genoeg vir 4 persone en elke kamer het sy eie badkamer wat baie gerieflik is. Ons het alles gehad wat nodig is vir oornagverblyf behalwe 'n uitsig oor die omgewing aangesien dit agter 'n ander gebou geleê is. Ons kon gaan stap en ook met die perde kennis maak.

Lovely and private on a country road.

Would've appreciated Wi-Fi in the cottage. But other than that everything was fantastic.

It was great. Peaceful and lovely to be off-grid.

Charmaine was a lovely hostess, she was very kind, helpful and respected our space. We really enjoyed how quiet and calm it was.

Gesellig en idiaal geleë.

Gesellige kothuis met 2 kamers en 2 badkamers en 'n heerlike sit- en kombuisarea. Ideaal geleë naby al die lekker plekkies op Nottingham Road. Ons gasvrou was baie vriendelik gewees en die omgewing is pragtig.

Charmaine is 'n wonderlike gasvrou. Het kort-kort navraag gedoen oor waar ons is. Ons hartlik verwelkom. Ons het heerlik gebly.

'n Ervaring van die Natalse Middellande gerieflik naby die N3.

Landy Lane Cottage is gerieflik naby die N3 en al die ander besienswaardighede in daardie deel van die Middellande. Die Railhouse Farmstall is loopafstand en die plaasatmosfeer en voëllewe was verfrissend. Die Cottage is baie goed toegerus en gerieflik ruim. Selfoon opvangs is swak in daardie area, maar bied 'n welkome vakansie van sosiale media en elektronika. Iemand anders mag miskien gesteur wees deur die treine wat van tyd tot tyd daar verby gaan.

We booked in very late and her children were there to meet us. Just a suggestion: A mirror in the main bedroom close to a wall plug would be nice. Also maybe a rail to hang clothes on.

Wonderful host, great accommodation and a beautiful location.

We were so warmly welcomed by Charmaine who showed us the super clean comfortable accommodation which was so ideally suited to our needs having two on suites. A huge plus is this location is very close to a number of popular meander activities. Myself, my husband and my mother very much enjoyed the beauty and the peace of the area.
