Lepêllê Lodge

Description

Lepêllê Lodge is situated in the heart of Mpumalanga and invites guests to relax to the rhythm of the Spekboom River as it cascades down the rocks and winds its way through the majestic landscape, revealing indigenous fauna and flora. Lepêllê means the one who walks stately and slowly.

We advise that guests need a 4x4 or high clearance vehicles for the road to the Tholo Tented Camps.

Accommodation is offered in 3 en-suite chalets and 4 tented camps. There are no TV's or radios in the rooms as we would like our guests to feel as close to nature as possible. All rooms are furnished and serviced daily.

In the afternoon cocktails are served on the terrace and deck, overlooking the tranquil bush and the cascading river, guarded by gigantic cliffs. Guests can enjoy dinner in the on-site restaurant, as well as evenings around the fire in the lapa. There is a swimming pool on site for guests to enjoy, and other activities include bird watching, fly fishing, hiking with a SATOUR accredited guide, scenic drives, and river rafting with a registered river guide.

Game drives are available on request. For groups of 6-10 people, a short day tour can be arranged to some of the most beautiful places in Mpumalanga.

Lepêllê Lodge provides an ideal location from which to explore the attractions in the region, including God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, and Pilgrim's Rest, all of which are less than 2 hours away. Kruger National Park is located 185 km away.
