Description

Lierie Huis is a lovely holiday unit offering accommodation in the coastal town of Strand. Nestled at the foot of the Hottentots Holland Mountains, this picturesque holiday destination boasts a 5km sandy beach, views of the Cape Peninsula and a variety of beachfront entertainment.

The open-plan unit, located on the owners' premises, can accommodate 2 or 3 adults with 1 or 2 children (maximum of 4 guests) and has a private entrance. Children must be older than 7 years. It is furnished with a double bed, and a single bed situated in a separate bedroom as well as a sleeper couch located in the living room. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, basin and a toilet.

The air-conditioned living area has a built-in braai. There is a TV with full DStv channels, a mini 2-plate stove, an electric frying pan, microwave, tea- and coffee-making facilities and all kitchenware. There is a scullery with a dishwasher and a fridge-freezer. Secure parking is available on site. There is a lawn for children to play on an a covered outdoor braai sheltered from the sun and wind. Guests have access to a washing machine on the property.

Activities in the area include bicycle and walking routes, swimming, surfing, fishing, birdwatching, golf, tennis, diving, kite surfing, and hiking trails in the Helderbergkom while nearby attractions include Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve, Somerset Mall, Monkey Town, Waterworld Strand and various wine estates like Vergelegen, Lourensford, Idiom and Waterkloof that are all within 10 minutes drive away and worth the visit.

For the adventurous, there is the Elgin Zipline with 13 zips in the breathtaking mountains, just past Sir Lowrys Pass. Enjoy the picturesque Clarence drive from Gordon's Bay to Hermanus. Visit Gansbaai and do Shark cage diving. Visit Fairview in Paarl, all within a day's drive.
