Description

Ossies Kloof is a peaceful and secluded self-catering family holiday house set right on the water’s edge in Malagas. Malagas is a settlement on the banks of the Breede River framed by the Potberg Mountain range, 30 km south-east of Swellendam and 280 km or a 2 and a half-hour drive from Cape Town.

The house can accommodate a maximum of 14 adults and comprises 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The first bedroom contains a queen-size bed, and a bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. The second and third bedrooms each contain a double bed. These 2 rooms share a bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and a washbasin. The fourth bedroom contains 2 single beds that can accommodate 2 children. The fifth contains 3 child-only bunk beds which can accommodate 6 children. These 2 bedrooms share a bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet.

The kitchen, dining, and living area are open-plan. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a double-door fridge-freezer, a large stove and oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a breakfast bar with stools. The dining area contains a large 10-seater dining table. The lounge contains comfortable seating and a fireplace. There is a second lounge area with a fireplace, as well as an overhead projector to watch your favourite movies or rugby. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. Outside there is a patio with outdoor dining furniture, braai facilities, and stunning views of the river.

The house has its own private jetty and its own river-sand beach, across from the house, for the little ones to play near the river. For the ‘chefs’ there is a lovely herb garden to choose from.

Surrounded by nature, teeming with bird life, this is the perfect spot for both those seeking adventures outdoors or those seeking a quiet retreat from the world. The river is popular for all water sports, and there is excellent fishing, lovely walks, mountain bike trails, and horse riding nearby. The house is close to shops, restaurants, pizza places, and a winery.
