Description

Mantis Founders Lodge is a wildlife safari lodge with 7 suites and a new, exclusive Founders Railway Carriage that is permanently stationed on a hill on the reserve just 85km from Gqeberha. The lodge offers luxurious hospitality focused on tailored service, a luxurious safari experience with a flair of romance for couples, and an intimate social environment for families and friends travelling together.

This lodge was once the home of conservation pioneer and Mantis founder, Adrian Gardiner, who now offers a soul-reviving safari on arrival and guests are welcomed by a number of animal species and rhinos. The intimate lodge has 7 lovely suites that sleep up to 2 people.

The suites are furnished with king-size beds, and have en-suite bathrooms with baths, showers, and toilets. Dressing gowns, slippers and a hairdryer are available for guests to use. Each of the air-conditioned suites is equipped with a minibar, tea- and coffee-making facilities, an electronic safe, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi, and opens onto a verandah with a beautiful view.

This lovingly restored Railway Carriage, stationed at a siding atop a hill, overlooking a magnificent valley, offers new, exclusive use accommodation for 5 guests in its 3 cabins. The charming Carriage features, an expansive outdoor deck, private swimming pool, dining area and boma.

The Honeymoon Pod comprises a king-sized bed for 2 guests. The bathroom is fitted with a toilet, shower and washbasin. Guests have access to the deck which has a seating area for 2 and enjoy the beautiful view.

Guests can enjoy intimate nature-inspired experiences focused on the smaller lesser known wildlife and ecology, as well as big five viewing on 4x4 guided game drives a on 25000ha game reserve.
