Description
Matola Private Game Reserve is situated in a tranquil setting in the Kubusi Valley, 20 km from Komga. Matola Private Game Reserve offers comfortable accommodation with lovely views.
Guests have a choice of 6 thatched-roof chalets that can accommodate up to 4 people in each. Overlooking the beautiful surroundings, each chalet is furnished with a double bed and a bunk bed; the bunk beds are best suited for children. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. Tea-and-coffee-making facilities are also available in the chalet.
The chalets make use of a centralised and communal lapa, which comprises a kitchen, a cosy fireplace, and a bar. A swimming pool and braai facilities are also available for use. Matola Private Game Reserve caters for family weekends, events, conference groups, and Eco-tourism.
The reserve offers a combination of rocky mountain slopes, grasslands, a river and river banks, offering a rich diversity of flora and fauna. Various activities can be enjoyed on the reserve such as catch-and-release fishing, bird watching, hiking, walking, cycling, 4x4 drives, and self-drive game drives.
