Meetsnoere is situated in the quiet village of Oyster Bay on the Eastern Cape coast, and is nestled between huge wild fig trees and the sea. The spacious holiday home offers quality accommodation for couples, families or groups of friends looking for comfortable lodging with wonderful ocean views.
The deck offers a picturesque and unspoilt view of the ocean, wide stretch of beach and spectacular sunrises and sunsets. It is the perfect spot to start the day with a cup of coffee or end the day with a glass of wine.
The double-storey house comprises 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and can accommodate 17 people. Enjoy sea views from 3 sea-front bedrooms, the dining and living area, as well as the deck on the first floor. There are 3 bedrooms with a queen size bed in each, 3 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each, and 1 bedroom with a single bed, a queen size bed and a double sleeper couch. Both bath and shower facilities are available.
Guests can relax in the cosy open-plan lounge which has a fireplace for the colder nights and days. The lounge opens onto a deck that overlooks the ocean and an unspoilt beach with high dunes. The deck is the ideal spot for spotting dolphins and whales. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with 2 fridge-freezers, an oven and stove, and a microwave, as well as a dishwasher for convenience. The kitchen also features a breakfast bar. Also on the first floor, you will find the laundry room with a washing machine, tumble-dryer and an outside washing line.
Separate from the house is an entertainment and braai room on the first floor, as well as 3 lock-up garages on the ground floor. The entertainment and braai room is equipped with a built-in braai, a kitchenette, a box freezer for bait and fish, fridge/freezer, a table tennis table, dart board, and board games. The entertainment room is ideal for relaxing in all weather conditions.
The property is conveniently located within walking distance to the beach, and the location is ideal for walks, swimming, bird watching, especially the Oyster Catcher, sand-boarding, snorkelling in the rock pools, diving and fishing.
Oyster Bay is situated 22 km from St Francis Bay, 25km from Humansdorp, 35km from Jeffreys Bay and activities in the area include walking trails such as Antjie se Pad, 4X4 trails, and golf at Humansdorp and St Francis Links golf courses. The area is surrounded by milk farms. For supplies and fuel, guests can drive to St Francis Bay, Humansdorp or Jeffreys Bay. For day trips a little further a field, visit Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve and Baviaanskloof.
