Meshlynn Farm Cottage is a homely self-catering cottage situated in the heart of the beautiful Kamberg Valley located in the Central Drakensberg. The cottage provides a peaceful and idyllic escape from everyday life. If you feel like getting away from it all for a few days, Meshlynn farm offers fresh air, magnificent views, wide-open spaces, fishing, walking, bird watching, and biking trails. Eland and mountain reedbuck are a common sight in the late afternoon and early evening. While you admire the tranquil surroundings listen to the call of jackals as you enjoy sundowners on the patio.
The cottage can accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, an open-plan lounge and dining area, and patio. The first and second bedrooms each contain a double bed. The third bedroom contains 4 single beds. The first bathroom contains a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. The second bathroom contains a bath, a toilet and a washbasin.
The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and is fitted with 2 fridge-freezers, a stove and oven, microwave, kettle and a toaster. The dining area contains a round 6-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge contains comfortable seating, a fireplace, and a TV. Outside there is a covered patio with a picnic table and braai facilities. The cottage is pet friendly and the property is fully fenced off.
Activities to enjoy in the area include fly fishing, walks and hikes, photography, birding, mountain biking trails, quad biking trails, and horse riding. In the vicinity there is a 9-hole golf course, a spa, various restaurants, the Midlands Meander Route, Kamberg Rock Art Centre, Kamberg Nature Reserve, Highmoor Nature Reserve and the Giant’s Castle Nature Reserve.
