Description

Mistyridge Guesthouse is a self-catering farm house on a working potato seed farm just outside of Lydenburg, Mpumalanga. The house is located on top of the Longtom Pass, with beautiful panoramic views. The farm is on the mist belt, which means it is misty occasionally, which gives a lovely atmosphere. It is also 5-degrees cooler on the mountain than in the town of Lydenburg which is approximately 20 km from the farm.

The guest house has 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed, a single bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a double bed and a single bed, and the third bedroom has a double bed. These 2 bedrooms share the second bathroom with a bath, shower and separate toilet.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, a stove an oven and also features a dishwasher. The lounge has comfortable seating as well as a TV. Unfortunately there is no DStv and the TV is not a smart-TV. Guests can bring their own USB-stick or the cable to link with a laptop. WiFi are available. There are indoor braai facilities as well as an 8-seater dining room table.

The Hops Hollow Beer Brewery is approximately 10 km from the farm, or guests can enjoy a breakfast at Misty Mountain Hotel. Close by towns include Sabie, Graskop and Pelgrimsrus. Dullstroom is also close by and is a lovely small town to make a day trip to.
