Hi Maurice. Thank you for your kind review. I am glad that overall you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, Kingfisher does only have one bathroom. Some guests prefer to share, for everyone to be under one roof. Other guests prefer to book more than one unit, so that their guests can have some extra space and privacy, as well as extra bathrooms.
Please come and visit us again soon, and then please consider booking more than one unit, so that you have extra bathrooms for you and your guests.
Also thank you for clarifying that you gave us 3 stars for Cleanliness, because the sheets on the sleeper couch were not tucked in. Unfortunately due to the design of the sleeper couches it is impossible to tuck sheets in - and for this reason, we only use the sleeper couches very occasionally, when we are very fully booked. We do ask guests to turn down music at 10pm but we also tell guests, that regardless of the time, noise levels are at the discretion of management. Dear Esther. I was absolutely mortified to receive such a bad review from you. I am so terribly sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We always strive to give each and every one of our clients the very best service and to make their stay with us as enjoyable as possible. I have made a thorough investigation into your complaints and I would like to point out the following:

In terms of the fridges not working, we found that the fridge-freezer was packed so full of food, that the cold air could not circulate. As soon as we were made aware of the problem, we immediately brought a 2nd big fridge-freezer to your lodge, so that you were able to spread your food out between the 2 fridges, and let the cold air circulate around the food. We have since had the fridge guy out to check all our fridges and he has confirmed that all of our fridges are in good working order and currently none of them need to be re-gassed.

In terms of the room not being cleaned, I would like to mention two things:
• When my ladies came to clean, your guests chased them away, and told them, “Come back later”. This happened several times a day, and
• When we did get into your lodge to clean, we struggled to clean properly because we had to try to clean around the guests.

I confirm that it is not our usual practice to change sheets & towels daily. Should guests require us to change the sheets and towels every day, then they are welcome to pre-arrange this with us for an additional charge. Furthermore, when you asked for fresh towels we did immediately supply you with fresh towels, no problem.

With regards to the 1 star rating for “Location”, you told me “There were too many trees.”. Motozi Lodge clearly markets itself as a “bush retreat”. As a bush lodge, it is not unusual for guests to encounter the odd spider or two. We try not to kill the flatties (harmless spiders) because they eat the mozzies.

Regarding the 1 star rating for security, you informed me that it was a mistake and that you'd change it.

Again, I am so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Both myself and my manager live on the property, and for guests who are staying on the property, we are available 24/7. If you had brought your complaints to me early on in your stay, then I would have ensured that your complaints were properly dealt with, right at the beginning of your stay, so that the rest of your stay would have been more enjoyable for you.

Once again I am so terribly sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. I wish you all the very best.
