Mount Ceder offers an ideal self-catering weekend destination, and is situated in the Cederberg Mountains offering guests a host of exciting accommodation and activity options. Located in a valley surrounded by rugged and interestingly dramatic mountains, Mount Ceder is found on the main route through the Cederberg range.

Accommodation on offer are various charming self-catering guest houses, which can accommodate between 2 and 6 guests. All houses are well-equipped with linen, towels, cutlery, crockery, a fridge, a stove and a microwave. There is an indoor fireplace, as well as a braai area outside each house. Mount Ceder also offers 3 campsites situated far apart for plenty of privacy. Guests are required to bring their own tents and camping gear, and each campsite has its own ablution facilities.

For those who do not want to cater for themselves, there is a restaurant where one can order sumptuous meals. Dinners are a 3-course set menu and need to be booked 24 hours in advance. Activities include mountain biking, canoeing, hiking, bird-watching and swimming in the river. In addition to the opportunities for hiking and swimming on the property, Mount Ceder is also within driving distance of many other Cederberg attractions and various 4x4 routes.

The Cederberg region is only 2 and a half hours from Cape Town and yet the landscape is completely different from that of the Mother City; wilder and warmer with raw, dramatic beauty.
