Description
Mthembuskloof Country Lodge is situated in Pieterskraal, which is located 105 km outside Pretoria. The lodge is located at the foot of the Magalapeng Hills, and offers a tranquil getaway away from city life.
Accommodation is offered in 4 comfortable chalets and 2 luxury tented rooms with en-suite bathrooms. The lodge can accommodate up to 12 guests. The chalets overlook a lush terrace garden and offer easy access to the lodge's swimming pool. Each chalet is equipped with air-conditioning, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and a mini-bar.
The tented rooms are set among the natural flora and offer an exclusive bush feeling with views overlooking the Magalapeng Hills. The tented rooms have the use of an outside kitchenette with tea- and coffee-making facilities and a mini-bar. Braai facilities are also available.
Guests can relax by the swimming pool, sipping a refreshment, or visit The Mountain View Bistro, which is a restaurant and bar set among a lush garden with lovely mountain views. A boma area is also available. For small, intimate celebratory events such as a wedding, birthday party, team building, business breakaways, or just a family reunion, the lodge has a beautiful garden to create an ambience and picturesque setting for any event.
For nature and outdoor enthusiasts, there are guided hikes through the Mthembuskloof Hills with abundant bird life. Here, overnight camping on top of the hill can be arranged. The lodge is motorbike friendly, and offers guided off-road excursions in the hills and surroundings. Guests can bring their own bikes, or they can rent one of the 250cc off-road bikes or quad bikes. The lodge can also arrange boat cruises on the Rust De Winter Dam, which is located 60 km away.
