Nice and tranquil.

Very nice place to stay. Basic amenities. No coffee in the room only in dining room. Dining room and bar locked not long after dinner. Nothing to drink later in the evening, no drinking water in room. Nice area and surroundings, but really overpriced.

This place is incredible. We are on a road trip and unfortunately only had 2 nights here. Hilary (a brilliant cook) was an unbelievable host, she made us feel like family. I would suggest asking about fishing, R200 per hour for the boat, tackle and bait as well as visiting Bent Head Bar (a quirky salvage yard-style bar with a small spaza shop and take-away joint). A further recommendation would be to stay at an absolute minimum of 2 nights, but if you really want to relax then stay longer and just take in the view. We are already planning to return.

We enjoyed our stay at the lodge!

Stayed for two nights. Enjoyed the scenery on the drive along the river to the lodge. Beautiful setting to watch the sunset. Dinner and breakfast the next day was delicious.
