Description
Namib Desert Campsite offers 3 campsites located under acacia trees on the banks of a dry riverbed, with beautiful views of the fossilised dunes of the Namib. The campsite is ideal for those wishing to explore the Sossusvlei and enjoy the silent starlit nights of the Namib Desert.
Each campsite is equipped with electricity, water, a braai area, a windbreak area, and have access to shared communal bathroom facilities. The campsite is 6 km from the Namib Desert Lodge, which is situated at the foot of the fossilised dunes.
Campsite guests are welcome to make use of the lodge facilities which include, 2 swimming pools, a salt-water and fresh-water pool, and a restaurant and bar with an inviting terrace, from where one can enjoy the magnificent views. Oryx antelope and springbok make frequent appearances at the illuminated waterhole. The lodge offers morning or sunset drives for an additional charge, as well as walking trails for those who wish to explore the area.
