The Namib Naukluft Lodge is located on the unique 25,000-hectare Nam Nau Habitat private nature reserve in the Namib Naukluft Park. The Namib Naukluft Park is the largest nature reserve in Namibia and many private nature reserves are nestled at its borders to form a unity for wildlife and people alike. This unique and peaceful place has been carefully developed by its nature loving owners, Friedolf and Barbara Sturm, and offers a great desert experience for the relaxed holidaymaker and the enthusiastic desert explorer.

Namib Naukluft Lodge’s architectural design allows unity with nature; backed by impressive granite hills, which grant natural protection against the east winds. Enjoy the stunning view onto the open plains from every room and the main verandah. Arrive at Namib Naukluft Lodge after a long drive and the friendly receptionist will welcome you with a drink and a smile.

Accommodation is offered in stylishly furnished en-suite Single, Double and Triple Rooms and Family Units, each with indoor and outdoor seating, air-conditioning, a private verandah, fridge, and direct-dial telephone.

The main lodge building offers a comfortable lounge exhibiting local décor items as well as original paintings, prints and hand-woven carpets from local artists. Traditional meals are served in the open-air restaurant on the verandah or prepared by the chef on an open fire in the lapa, enhancing the feeling of a very special desert evening. The bar, and in winter, the guest lounge with fireplace offer a cosy round-up of a great and adventurous day. Guests can enjoy a refreshing dip in the on-site swimming pool.

The early morning hours, when the desert seems to wake-up and stretch, the sun giving its first tender light, is the ideal time to go for an easy walk. Well-marked walking trails lead up the granite hill, around the mountain or to the near-by bird hide. It is the best time for the keen photographer. There's even a 9-hole desert golf course offering an experience of a different kind.
