Description

Newlands Country Lodge is situated on a farm on the outskirts of the historic town of Kimberley, about 10 km from the CBD.

Accommodation is offered in a variety of self-catering, farm-stay units for anyone looking for some peace and quiet. Each of the 4-sleeper chalets is air-conditioned and features a private bathroom, a patio, a built-in braai and a kitchen with a microwave, fridge, stove top, and tea- and coffee- making facilities. The 2-sleeper units feature a private bathroom and a kitchenette with a bar fridge, a microwave, a 2-plate stove, and tea- and coffee- making facilities.

There are two 12-sleeper houses which are suited for backpackers and large groups. Guests have access to a shared bathroom with showers, toilets and/or a bath. Each of the houses feature a braai area, a TV room, and a kitchen with a microwave, fridge, stove top and/or oven, and tea- and coffee- making facilities.

All units are equipped with a flat-screen TV with limited package DStv channels. Heaters, electric blankets, irons and toasters are available on request, free of charge.

On-site amenities include a braai area, a jungle gym and secure undercover parking available for motor vehicles, bikes, trucks, trailers and caravans, with 24-hour security guards on site.

The lodge is located just off the N12 which makes it perfect for an overnight stay or longer stay on route from Gauteng to the Western Cape, with alternative entry route via Midlands Road on the way to Upington and Namibia.

The lodge offers a lovely farm atmosphere with stunning sunset views over the dam for cottages 1-8 and tranquil garden setting on all other units.
