Description
Nthakeni Bush & River Camp offers thatched-roof cottages and campsites and is nestled on the banks of the Mutale River, a hidden gem of far north-east Limpopo. The camp is a nature lover's paradise with excellent birding and unique flora. The camp is in a tribal trust area just outside, but bordering the National Park. Nthakeni is 5,5 km from the Pafuri Gate of the Kruger National Park.
Accommodation at Nthakeni Bush & River Camp ranges from a group tented camp, comfortable thatched-roof cottages, riverside camp stands, bush camp stands, and rustic camp stands.
Each cottage comes equipped with comfortable beds, and a kitchenette with basic appliances to prepare and cook meals. Each campsite has a private bathroom with showers and toilet facilities. All cottages and campsites have a private braai area for guests to use, and a few have open-air showers. The main camp area offers a rock pool and a small kiosk shop that sells basic necessities.
It is important to take note that there is no electricity at the camp. Chalets have 12v power only. Campers must use their own solar systems should they require power for their fridges and appliances.
Guests can swim in a lovely swimming pool, take self-drive bush drives, explore one of the hiking trails, go bird watching and stargazing.
Nthakeni Bush & River Camp is situated approximately 40 km from the Pafuri Border post to Mozambique.
