In the small town of Clarens, near the Golden Gate National Park, a quiet and restful haven awaits you. For nature and hiking enthusiasts, Clarens is the place to get away from the business of city life. Ongeag Guesthouse is a spacious, fully-equipped, self-catering double story sandstone house, surrounded by the mountains of Clarens.

The house has 3 well-appointed bedrooms. The main bedroom sleeps 4 guests in a queen-size bed and a double sleeper couch and has an en-suite bathroom which is tiled with underfloor heating. There are large windows providing this room with warm natural light, and 2 balconies afford an uninterrupted scenic view. It has under carpet heating and air conditioning.

The second bedroom has a double bed and is fitted with a sitting and study area for those who like to start the day in reading and contemplation. It also has access to the upper balcony with eastern views of the Red Mountains as well as the Maluti Mountains. Access to the en-suite bathroom of the main bedroom is through the upstairs passage. This room also has air-conditioning and under carpet heating.

A third en-suite bedroom is situated downstairs and can sleep 3 people and comes equipped with a double bed and single bed. This bedroom has access through cottage pane sliding doors to the lower balcony. Both the bedroom and bathroom are tiled with underfloor heating.

A portable single bed is also available and can be set up in any room at a moment’s notice.

An airy fully equipped open-plan kitchen fitted with a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, 4-plate stove and oven, fridge with freezer, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, kitchen utensils and ample cutlery and crockery. The combined lounge, dining room and living area has an open fireplace, DStv and underfloor heating, and opens through the wide sliding door onto the lower balcony. There is a choice of either using the braai on the lower balcony or the sandstone braai in the garden.

Double lock up garages with an internal staircase to the living area completes the picture of this heavenly home.

The property has wifi and an inverter for lights, Wi-Fi, DStv, and a fridge during load shedding.
