Description

Ou Melkstal is a refurbished dairy shed offering rustic self-catering accommodation on the Onverwacht farm, located 48 km east of Pretoria. The working farm is ideal for a family getaway or as a stopover for guests en route to Mpumalanga.

The house can accommodate 4 adults with 2 children and comprises 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and the second bedroom contains 2 single beds and 2 foldable beds. A baby bed is also available if necessary. The main bedroom is accessed via the bathroom and it is fitted with a bath and a shower.

Please note that a solar power project is currently under construction and that the accommodation can temporarily accommodate only 2 guests.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, a mini-oven with a 2-plate stove, as well as crockery and cutlery. A breakfast counter with bar stools is also available. The old packing room has been transformed into a lounge where the family can watch movies or play board games.

Guests are welcome to explore the 196-hectare farm on foot or by mountain bike, or simply enjoy birdwatching from the patio. Since Ou Melkstal is located on a working farm, cattle can often be seen roaming around.
