Description
This four star luxury lodge is situated on a private coastal reserve between Knysna and Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) in the malaria free Eastern Cape in South Africa and is an "activity driven" destination.
This spectacular Coastal Reserve is set on 235 ha of unspoiled landscape, bordering a 3,5 km private sandy beach front in a picturesque setting of dunes, woods, river deltas, wetlands, lagoons and home to free roaming horses and an extensive bird life.
Enjoy a day out walking, birding, horse riding, mountain biking or a picnic on one of the decks. Oyster Bay Lodge can also be used as a base to visit nearby attractions like Tsitsikamma National Park, Addo Elephant National Park and Baviaanskloof Mega Reserve. We are close to whale watching, deep sea fishing, 4 x 4 trails and golf courses in the luxury coastal village of St. Francis Bay.
Accommodation consists of Comfortable Guestrooms and free-standing Luxury Chalets, all with en-suite bathrooms, uninterrupted sea views and private verandahs. Our chalets are also equipped with underfloor heating, kitchenette, lounge area and fireplace.
Relax at our freshwater swimming pool and go for a breath taking horse ride over our private beach and dunes with one of our experienced guides. After a day well spent, enjoy a drink and friendly conversation with your hosts in our bar, with fireplace and spectacular views over the Indian Ocean, before being spoilt with excellent cuisine in our cozy restaurant.
