Description
Phumelo Lodge Package offers luxury accommodation, welcoming drinks, breakfast, a three-course dinner and a lovely 2-hour game drive per day. Phumelo Lodge is located on a hill in a 12 000-hectare private game reserve, which is home to the Big 5. The lodge is situated in the Waterberg Mountains overlooking a river, 50 km from Bela-Bela.
Accommodation at Phumelo Lodge comprises 5 African-themed, thatch-roof chalets. Each chalet is tastefully furnished with a designer four-poster, king-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. In addition, each chalet contains climate-controlled air-conditioning, a flat-screen TV with DStv hotel channels or full DStv channels, and tea-, coffee, and hot chocolate-making facilities with complimentary rusks and gourmet biscuits.
Each chalet also boasts a wraparound deck with waterproof outdoor furniture. Meals are served in the dining area of the main building. A light lunch is available at an additional cost. The lodge also features a guest lounge with access to free Wi-Fi and a swimming pool.
Guests can enjoy a sunset game drive with an experienced ranger in an open 4x4 game vehicle at an additional fee per person. These game drives include snacks with drinks at an additional charge, as well as blankets for those chilly evenings.
Phumelo Lodge is located in the greater part of the Mabalingwe Nature Reserve. The private game reserve is home to elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, hippo, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, hyena, warthog, and a wide variety of antelope and plains game and birdlife.
