Plathuis is set on a farm that is located 42 km from the town of Ladismith.
Accommodation is provided in old resorted farmhouses of which the main house comprises 2 bedrooms and its own private entrance and the second home is divided into 2 apartments sleeping 4 people each as well as the honeymoon hut located on the slopes of the Touwsberg with an outdoor bath. All units have 12-volt lights everywhere with gas geysers.
Activities on the farm include hiking trails and a variety of cycling routes.
