Most disappointing holiday accommodation I booked in the 25 plus years of booking holidays.

NOTE: I made photos and videos of all this should anyone want me to prove all this. The main problem I had was that the photo with the pool was very very very misleading. Absolutely a total lie. In reality it was covered with a blue plastic cover. and on top of it was bird poop, a thick layer of dog hair, loads of sand and dust and tree droppings from the surrounding trees. Also surrounding the pool area it was the same. I had to sweep it clean myself the first day I got there. of course I could not clean the blue cover since I would fall in the pool. Since I booked this accommodation purely for the pool to swim in. it was truly disappointing to find out upon arrival that I could not use it at all !!!. When I questioned the owner about it she had no understanding towards me whatsoever. Her explanation was that the municipality gave them restrictions on the water and due to this I cannot use the pool. I really would have appreciated if they had communicated this fact beforehand because I could then have booked something cheaper and closer to my mother-in-law. I found the owner very harsh and very unsympathetic when I explained my problem. She would not allow me to finish my sentences. Literally, she would just boldly interrupt me with her facts and would not allow me even to speak. this went on for about 15 to 30 minutes. It was almost like a screaming contest. I felt so degraded and not listened to. She just simply said, AFTER I had already booked and paid for the accommodation. according to her. I received both an email an sms stating that the pool was unusable. Later I checked all my emails and sms's. needles to say I NEVER found these emails nor the sms's stating the fact that the pool was not usable. It was a total lie from beginning to end. Other problems we experienced was.  - a very noisy and huge fish tank (2 x 0,6 x 0,6 meter). you could not sleep with the water pump running all night. the owners would enter your accommodation unannounced while you are in it to give the fish food. happened twice while my mom was in the main bedroom. they forgot to switch on the geyser and so we had to take acold shower the first night- the 3 dogs barked at night and you could not sleep till they stopped. the main bedroom light did not work. had to use the ensuite light for the main bedroom - the stove to cook food did not work. also no instructions was found on how to work it- the zink to do dishes is at the pool area. and we had no bucket to carry the dirty dishes to the outside zink. we used the small bathroom zink instead. There were more, but these were the most annoying ones.

Verblyf nie sleg nie, maar geen wasbak, moet buite water kry en was, braai gedeelte nie skoon nie, kon nie braai nie.

Die plek binne was goed. Toilet in hoofkamer werk nie, kon nie toilet spoel nie. Wasbak is buite en moet skottelgoed buite was. Tafel om kos by te maak ongemaklik en spasie hopeloos te klein.

Was baie lekker, was net baie donker as jy saans ingaan na woonstel.

Was bietjie onveilig saans om na woonstel toe te gaan. Verder het ons lekker gebly. En die feit dat ons nie besoekers mag ontvang het nie, was baie sleg.

Die verblyf is baie lekke en privaat met alle geriewe.
