Protea Farm offers self-catering rustic cottages and camping sites and is situated in Koo Valley, 29 kilometres from Montagu in the heart of the scenic Route 62. Perfect for couples, groups of friends or families wanting a break away from the city's hustle and bustle, with a variety of activities.

Accommodation at Protea Farm comprises 4 cabins which are rustic as well as campsites. The cabins are equipped with the necessary amenities and range from 2 to 8 sleepers with double beds, single beds and bunk beds. Facilities included in the cabins are a kitchenette that has a two-plate stove, microwave, fridge and a kettle. Each cabin also has a dining area with a table and chairs as well as a bathroom that has a shower, basin and toilet.

The Populiersbos Campsite is secluded and private, surrounded by nature. There is one unit that consists of open-plan living, and only has 3 walls dividing certain sections, and comprises a double bed and elegant bathtub, a fireplace as well as an outdoor shower. This camping site also provides up to 8 additional camping sites, that has 2 showers of which one is indoor and the other one outdoor, as well as 1 bath and 2 toilets.

Guests can enjoy tractor rides when staying at Protea Farm, which carries its load of passengers, and meanders its way up the Langeberg Mountain to an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level offering stunning views of the valley. The farm offers something special, throughout each season. From the beautiful colours of the orchards during autumn, to icy winter nights snuggling in front of a fireplace, right through to the beautiful blossoms of spring. On vibrant summer days, guests can enjoy swimming in the lake, or take pleasure in the beautiful hiking trails and the idyllic territory for mountain biking.
