Protea Huis provide comfortable, modern accommodation in Theresa Park in the north of Pretoria, and is part of African Nights Guesthouse. Please note there are no TVs in the bedrooms, but there is one in the communal TV lounge next to the rooms in the house. No DStv but Open View HD. Communal balcony on the first floor. All rooms have coffee and tea-making facilities. Each room has a double bed.

Guests can choose between Angelier Main Bedroom with a bath and overhead shower or the Protea Bedroom and Eagle Bedroom that share a bathroom with a bath and shower or the outside located Bluecrane Bedroom with a private bathroom with a bath.

Angelier Hoofslaapkamer is on the first floor and has air conditioning and a small balcony. The en-suite bathroom has not been modernised yet, but is is clean and there is a shower over bath, basin, and toilet. The room contain 1 double bed and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

The Bluecrane-, Protea- and Eagle Rooms don't have air conditioning, but they do have portable fans. They can be booked together and is the ideal unit for a family of 4. These rooms shares a communal bathroom with a bath and shower. They are separated by a safety door from the rest of the house on request.

The Bluecrane room is outside the house and has a private bathroom. It does not have an air-conditioner but has a desk fan. There is coffee- and tea facilities and a bar fridge in Bluecrane room.

Furthermore, there is another bathroom with a shower on the first floor of the house that guests can use upon request. There is also a communal kitchen with a fridge for basic use on the ground floor.

The rooms are serviced on a daily base excluding Sundays and public holidays.

Situated next to Protea Room, is a TV room that is equipped with a small fridge as well as a TV and opens onto a communal balcony. A swimming pool and parking is available. The TV room is not suited for children because of the open swimming pool, open balconies and stairs.

Protea Huis is just 9 km Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute, 12 km from National Zoological Gardens, the Union Buildings and Loftus Versfeld Stadium, and 18 km from Medunsa.
