It was a lovely relaxed weekend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A little more dusting and TLC is needed though. Nonetheless we had a blast. A nice big garden for the doggies - however, I do wish the main house had another fence - fencing it off from the cottage. This would make it a little more private, as guests from the cottage wouldn't be able to come into your space, as well as keeping your dog from wandering to the cottage side. The view was amazing. We loved the stoep and making a fire at night to sit around. All in all a good weekend away!

A perfect getaway for those who appreciate nature and the peace and quiet.

The views are simply breathtaking! We loved everything about ProudFoot Farm, watching the mist rolling in, and hearing an animal's cry in the middle of the night, it was really a wonderful experience. The peace and quiet is just what we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk. Aloe Hill cottage had everything we needed and was very modern.

Incredible views, spacious and clean home. The grounds were well kept and very clean and enough space for the children to run around and play.

We absolutely enjoyed the house, we had the most beautiful and breathtaking views. The surrounding mountains were amazing. The house it self was very beautiful, very clean and spacious. We had everything that we needed when it came to cutlery. The weather was very cold so the gas heater was very helpful. The only thing I think may is the DStv charge, we had assumed that it would be connected but we had to pay for it separately, and also the electricity had to be shut for it to recharge but we used it very sparingly and did not waste it at all. Either than that it was a fantastic vacation.

Although the accommodation is off the beaten track, the weekend away was fantastic. It was peaceful and the scenery was great.

The house was well equipped. The bird life was prolific and there were numerous walks. Proudfoot is definitely the place to go if you want to get away from it all!

Cozy, nice location, but quite difficult to reach.

Such a nice place to break away and rest, but shouldn't be advertised as being in the Midlands. Rather than in the Natal mountains. It's a reasonable drive from the Midlands. Furthermore, the gas bottles were empty and we had to take a cold shower in the cold winter. I would recommend it for a getaway where you just want to relax in the mountains and enjoy family time!

Fantastic scenery and comfortable house. Terrible last km of road.

Proudfoot served our purposes of a writing group reconnecting with an old member, long gone overseas, very well. The setting is spectacular. The house is spacious, comfortable, attractive. We really did need our 4x4 for the last km of the road. We were glad there was no serious rain. There were a few glitches: a downstairs shower with an unbalanced water mixer, a dead rat in kitchen ceiling that could be smelled in the bedroom above, but given the reasonable pricing, this did not dampen our enjoyment. We would have really appreciated some marked out walks (but we 'made' our own.)

Beautiful setting with amazing views and a perfect place to relax and get away from the city life.

Road to house was no problem and with property off the grid - solar power and gas more than served our needs. Lovely fireplace kept us warm & cosey and the snow capped mountains in the distance, beautiful sunsets, and wonderful walks with our dogs made our stay very memorable.
