Rest a Bit at Glentana is situate in Glentana, 20 km south of George on the Garden Route to the Cape. This area is known for its mild weather, the temperature seldom exceeding 28 degrees. Some of the best golf courses in South Africa are located close to Glentana including Fancourt and Pinnacle Point at Mossel Bay, Kingswood at George, and Harolds Bay.
The house comprises 2 bedrooms with a double bed in the main bedroom and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. Linen is provided, as well as towels. It also offers a bathroom with bath, toilet and washbasin, a second bathroom with shower and basin. The main bedroom has an en-suite toilet with basin.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge with a fairly large freezer compartment, a microwave and stove. There is one gas burner in case of load shedding. There is a lounge area with a flat-screen HD TV that has selected channels from local SABC. No KykNet channels available. Guests are welcome to bring their own decoder and smart card for DStv viewing. Free uncapped Wi-Fi is available.
Outside, there is a private braai facility, lock-up garage and parking space for a trailer behind the perimeter wall.
Small, knee-height dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
Glentana boasts a safe bathing area and a sandy beach for never-ending seaside walks. Great Brakriver, where supplies can be replenished, is approximately 10 km from the guest house. From George Airport, guests can travel to Cape Town, Johannesburg, East London and Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). Facing the beachfront, the apartment is located on the ground floor of the house. It is within walking distance from the sea, about 200m as the crow flies. The scenic view can be judged by the photographs provided on this website.
