Loved the pool!

We loved our stay in many ways, very quiet and peaceful, but found the bed very wobbly and impossible to sleep in. The pool was amazing!

An ideal break away!

Lovely rustic little place with great warmth and walking distance to the beautiful little town. Very comfy stoep with some lovely touches for us like sherry on arrival with milk and rusks and ice all ready for us. Take charcoal for the braai.

Comfortable and characterful.

We used this as a base for one night as we were attending a wedding in the area. It's quirky and quite eclectic in its furnishing, but very characterful. The hosts are super friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfy, and we were grateful for the mosquito net. Lovely garden and nice touches of fresh milk and rusks (not homemade). Didn't get to sample the honey mead that was provided!

Great private, secluded cottage.

We are very happy to recommend Rhus cottage to guests/ the private pool was a real bonus -the hosts welcoming and discreet- and respectful of our privacy to really enjoy our stay - we will return.

We had the most amazing visit. The hosts were friendly and incredibly kind. They went out of their way to accommodate us. The serene and tranquil environment made it hard to leave and return to busy everyday life. We will definitely go back again.

Peaceful, quiet stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful, quiet and comfortable stay at Rhus Cottage. Andy is a gracious host, who welcomed us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed. We appreciated the attention to detail and the little touches, like rusks to have with our coffee, fruit etc. The cottage was spotless, well equipped and everything worked properly. Well worth staying there!

Really comfortable with everything one needs

A relaxing stay in a beautiful garden setting with pool.

Perfectly located in wonderful Standford. Set within a private, tranquil, and established garden enlivened by multitudinous birds. Sufficient sunlight to keep everything warm, but enough shade to keep temperatures reasonable at midday. The bed was comfy, the shower hot, the coffee great - it had the essence of Stanford. We'll be back for sure.

Lekker rustige atmosfeer.

Gelukkig het ons klaar gestort die volgende oggend voordat die munisipaliteit die water sonder kennisgewing afgeskakel het. Goeie gasheer. Alles was skoon en netjies. Die bed het heerlik geslaap met lekker sagte kussings.

Fantasties, baie rustig, kwaliteit!

Ons het 'n heerlike naweek gehad in Stanford en by Rhus Cottage! Baie privaat, stil en heerlik. Binne en buite leef. Baie voëltjies in die bome en paddas in die tuin. Lieflike swembad! Kwaliteit linne! Ons sou maklik 'n week daar kon bly!
