Description
River View Cottage at the Breede is situated in the tranquil town of Witsand, only 3 hours drive from Cape Town towards the Garden Route. Enjoy views of the Breede River from this quaint, but spacious thatched, Fisherman’s Cottage nestled inside the truly unique Breede River Lodge and Fishing Resort, right on the banks of the mighty Breede River.
The cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The main bedroom contains a queen-size bed, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, a toilet and a washbasin. This room leads out, through a glass sliding door, onto the lovely front-facing patio – relax in bed and enjoy the river views. The second bedroom is an upstairs loft bedroom and contains 2 single beds. This room is only accessible by a steep wooden staircase and has a nifty skylight with views of the river. Guests do need to be able to climb stairs to sleep in the loft bedroom. The guest bathroom downstairs is fitted with a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. Bedding and bath towels are provided - just bring your own beach towels and toiletries please.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher. and cutlery and crockery. There is also a breakfast bar with stools. The lounge has a comfy lounge suite, an indoor fireplace for cosy winter and a flat-screen TV with selected DStv channels. Free Wi-Fi access is also provided.
Glass sliding doors lead out onto the river-facing patio. Relax on the patio and listen to the beautiful birdsong provided by a multitude of birds. The cottage is set towards to edge of the resort close to the resorts restaurant. Being fully self-contained you can look forward to a relaxing getaway. Secure parking is available inside the gates for your car, right outside the unit.
