Not clean. Really far away from river. Owners 3 dogs were lovely but the piles of dog poo from them were so smelly that we could not eat outside or use the grass area.

Cleanliness: The cottage was full of flies and fully overloaded old fly straps that were hanging like macabre decor. The bathroom/toilet simply needed jik. Location: a very long walk from chalet to river. Should just be 'ridge chalet' not 'river ridge'. Owners' three dogs left piles of smelly poo all over the area. You had to dodge it. Kid couldn't play on grass. And we could not have morning coffee outside because the dog poo reeked. Big dogs x 3 = lots of giant messes. Rooms: room with bunks is dank.

Thank you for your feedback. Always good to have, as we know that is the only way we can change or improve things to make the stay pleasurable and memorable for the guests.

The farm is called Riverridge. We have two accommodation properties. One on the water is called the chalet and one at the top that is called the cottage.
This is a farm, hence the flies and animals are very welcome as long as they stay off the beds.
So the one fly trap that was in your cottage is something that really works for us.

Sorry that you found dog poo as it is a natural thing but definitely a major priority to clean daily.

Wonderful.

Not only did Riverridge accommodate us on short notice they were friendly, helpful and really accommodating. The hosts made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The farm has breathtaking views and cosy beds. The host's were so helpful and called us to direct us to the property and even waited for us outside. I definitely recommend staying at Riverridge lifestyle farm. We had a wonderful experience. Tracy.

Beautiful setting and gracious hosts.

Our younger children loved it but our teens less so. Simply because they are less fond of farm life. My 10 and 7 year old's just loved spending time with the horses and riding their bikes. The farm itself is steep for riding but they could ride on the road, which was quiet (although they did have to look out for cars). We loved the freedom of being free to walk around the property and use the kayak. Unless you have a boat the river is otherwise quite limited. We stayed at the top cottage but would love the one on the water next time.
