Description

Rivers End Farm is situated on the banks of the Klein River Lagoon in a bird sanctuary and is located just 7 km from Stanford. Accommodation is provided in a luxury self-catering log cabin and a classic camper van.

Built on raised stilts, the cabin can accommodate 4 adults and 4 children and runs on renewable energy and borehole water. The cabin comprises 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. For convenience, linen and towels are provided. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities, and meals can be enjoyed at the breakfast bar or dining table. Guests can relax in the lounge which is equipped with a TV with selected DStv channels, and opens onto the deck overlooking the surroundings. The log cabin offers beautiful views of the wetlands, mountain ranges, and uninterrupted fynbos.

The classic camper comprises a sleeping area, a kitchenette, and a bathroom. The sleeping area is fitted with a double bed and a sleeper couch for a child. Bedding and towels are provided. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, a basin and a toilet. The mobile home makes use of solar power. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, a fridge, a gas stove, a gas oven, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans.

Rainfall throughout the year is not very consistent, and the water levels change at will. This means the cabin will overlook a massive body of water for paddling or canoeing, or a dried-up pan that guests can explore on foot.
