Description
Situated at the edge of the Rooipan, halfway between Upington and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park on the R360, Rooipan Ou Huis is surrounded by sand dunes and offers comfortably furnished self-catering accommodation.
The guesthouse offers guests a choice of 2 rooms in the main house, and each of the rooms can accommodate 2 people. Each of the rooms is furnished with 2 single beds, and make use of a bathroom with a shower. Tea-and-coffee-making facilities are provided.
Guests have access to a communal kitchen and dining area, as well as the lounge which has a fireplace. Guests are welcome to braai by arranging for a braai pack of Kalahari chops and boerewors and a freshly baked bread with a salad. Breakfast is also available at extra cost.
Rooipan Ou Huis is independent of the grid and makes use of solar energy.
Please note that there is a gravel road leading to the accommodation. Guests need to enquire from the establishment about the condition of the gravel road before arrival.
