Description
Sadawa Game Reserve is situated 215 km from Cape Town in the tranquil Tankwa Karoo, 78 km outside Ceres. It offers visitors rustic, affordable Karoo accommodation with the promise of peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Guests can view the wild game, gaze at the majestic night sky, discover unusual plants and insects, and practice their photography skills, all in the presence of a quiet, breathtaking landscape that will make the noise of city life drain away.
The lodge comprises 7 en-suite chalets as well as camping grounds. All of the chalets are self-catering units with access to private or shared braai facilities. Each chalet has its own kitchenette equipped with a fridge, gas stove-top burner, a basin, pots and pans, and cutlery and crockery. Guests can make use of the communal kitchen if they require an oven or microwave.
The lodge offers guests free Wi-Fi, MTN reception and a TV with selected DStv channels. Activities include birding, cycling and mountain biking, and nature walks. There is an on-site curio shop with unique hand-made gifts so that you can take some of the Karoo home with you.
30 km from Sadawa Game Reserve on the R355 is the Tankwa Padstal, a small country shop. Matroosberg Nature Reserve is approximately 50 km away. Guests are welcome to view the game in the veld by driving around. Please just adhere to the reserve rules.
The Game Reserve can be accessed via car, however driving in the veld requires an elevated vehicle. The quality of the dirt road, R356 section, varies at different times depending on municipal maintenance. Inquire with management if you are uncertain.
