Disappointing.

This unit is situated on the green, on the lake side. If you are planning to sleep after 5am don't choose 10401. It's very busy and extremely noisy. The sound of garden machines (weedeaters are the worst, the lawnmowers a constant buzz and the personnel on tractors and little four-wheel bakkies zoom up and down the garden path like busy bees) will wake you and continue to taunt you the whole week. No rest days for anyone here. The advertisement promises a bath. There is no such thing. The bathroom is fitted with a modern, oversized shower that leaves everything wet and slippery. There is no place to use as a vanity in the bathroom and no area or mirror in the bedroom to blow your hair or apply make-up. There is only 1 plug in the bedroom, in order to use the hairdryer you have to use a plug in the kitchen where you will find the mirror but its too far from the plug to use it while drying your hair. There is no information booklet in the unit so make sure that you investigate activities before you get there. The bedroom is not air-conditioned as promised, there is not even a fan, prepare yourself to sleep in the living room on a uncomfortable couch with no linen if you are in any stage of a personal summer. The air-conditioner is there. It's indicated that the dinning area is suitable for 5 people - the breakfast nook has 4 chairs but you can only use 2 as the TV cabinet is cramped onto a wall next to it, that forces you to move the living room furniture all the way towards the kitchen if and when you want to watch TV. The room is then unbalanced and its a maneuver to get past the furniture to go anywhere. It's best to set the table on the patio for meal times and morning coffee but you have to have an early start as there is no privacy, the garden workers will notice you, and greet, you will have to be dressed for the occasion. Take along toilet rolls. When the first one runs out you will be left hanging. I felt irritated that you have to buy your own for the price you pay to use this unit. Not that I can't afford it - it's not something you think about when you buy groceries with your first trip to the shops. At least there is some for sale at the shop on the premises, but sure to run out during office hours. I can without a doubt say that this accommodation was one of the all-time lows for us. I felt restless, irritated and hyper from the buzz in and around this unit. I was disappointed with the overall stay. I'll never recommend this holiday.
