Description

Sanjika Escapes Boshuis is a tranquil and spacious self-catering farmstay nestled at the foot of the Outeniqua mountains where rest and relaxation are guaranteed. It is a 8.3 km from George Airport, but you will feel as though you are miles away from civilization as you are surrounded by birdsong, fresh mountain air and the sound of the nearby stream.

The house can accommodate up to 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. Each bedroom contains a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, a toilet and a washbasin, as well as an inside and outside shower.

The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a fridge-freezer, hob, microwave, and cutlery and crockery. The dining area features a 4-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge contains comfortable seating and a fireplace. The living area opens to an enclosed patio that runs the length of the house and features a dining table and benches, 2 seating areas and a built-in braai. Outside, there is a boma firepit with seating as well as a pizza oven. The property offers a wood-fired hot tub for guests to enjoy.

The unit is an off-the-grid getaway that uses solar energy, gas and borehole water.

There are a handful of little paths, which you can meander along on the farm. A favourite path winds along the Modder River, through the indigenous forest and ends up at a waterfall and a freshwater pool.

Please note that a higher clearance vehicle is recommended for guests staying at the unit. A 4x4 is not necessary, but there are bumpy and oftentimes muddy farm roads to navigate, as well as a low water bridge to cross.
