Description
Sea Shells Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a brightly decorated 5-bedroom holiday home situated in the seaside village of Southport in Port Shepstone. The property is conveniently located 750 m from Southport beach and tidal pool. Guests can enjoy lovely sea views from Sea Shells Cottage. Watch the sunrise with ships and fishing boats passing by, and you have a big chance to spot many whales in the winter whale-watching season.
The house comprises 5 bedrooms. The first bedroom contains a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom and a ceiling fan. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds and is also equipped with a ceiling fan. This room is interleading with the first bedroom. The third bedroom contains a double bed, has an en-suite bathroom, and is equipped with air-conditioning. The fourth bedroom contains a double bed and is also equipped with air-conditioning, ideal for those hot summer days. The fourth bedroom has access to a separate bath, shower and toilet. The unit also has a 5th bedroom with seaview and double bed .
The open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area offers great sea views, and the house features a swimming pool with an entertainment area and covered verandah with portable braai facilities. The separate fire pit is situated under shady Fig trees and is ideal for lazy afternoons round the braai. The house is equipped with a TV with full DStv, a bar fridge, and a deep freeze. There is also the added luxury of an ice-maker for convenience. The house is also equipped with a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a dishwasher.
For security there are external beams as well as internal security, automated gates, and 24-hour security by Lazer Security. A domestic helper is on hand if required, for a nominal fee.
Southport main beach is a pristine Blue Flag beach with a tidal pool, rock pools , fishing and surfing and safe swimming with lifeguards on duty. Guests can visit the Captain’s Anchor Pub and Restaurant under the Milkwood trees, or make use of the communal braai facilities at the beach. The little village of Southport is supplied with a Total Service Station, Southport Superette and Bakery, a post office, a car wash, and a dentist for emergencies. These are all located within close proximity to the house.
