Very affordable but not worth it.

We arrived at the lodge with an error regarding our room availability, even though we paid the deposit upfront. However, this was resolved. The first night was horrible. The guests in the other room had a party and were smoking weed and extremely noisy. I did report this to the lady on duty, but she did not tell them to stop; instead, she only told them to smoke in a different area outside the lodge. There was no coffee, sugar, or milk in the room, not even a kettle. After asking for these, we received a few sachets of coffee, sugar, and creamer, but the containers were empty. Our room door was in a bad state and we had to struggle to lock it; it could be opened without using a key if a person lifted and pulled high enough, due to damage on the frame. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper, and even with housekeeping there the next day, it was not replenished. Although we were a total of 4 guests (2 adults and 2 children), we were only issued 2 towels. The second night, however, the noise levels and activities were much more pleasant. The staff were very friendly. All in all, there is great potential for this lodge to be amazing, since it has the perfect location situated 5 minutes away from Gold Reef City. Just a few issues need to be addressed or handled better, and this would be the obvious place to use when seeking accommodation in the area.

Ons het nie oorgebly nie!

1 - Ons het glad nie veilig gevoel nie. 2 - Toe ons na 12 uur die aand daar aankom was die mense besig om te drink op die stoep. 3 - Hul het nie eers geweet ons het daar geboek nie. 4 - Die huis was nie klaar nie, net die twee kamers waarin ons sou slaap waar die 1 kamer se deur nie eers kon sluit nie. 5 - Die kamers het nog na verf geruik. 6 - Ons het eers 2 uur die Sondagoggend by ons huis gestop omdat ons 2 ure ver bly.
