Description

Serondela Lodge is situated on the Namibian banks of the Chobe River, facing the well-known Chobe National Park, ensuring close encounters with free-roaming wildlife. The area is best known for its herds of elephants and Cape buffalo, which converge along the Chobe river front in the dry months. The lodge is approximately 17 km by road from Kasane in Bostwana and approximately 25 km by boat. The lodge is built in Kabulabula conservancy and seasonally it becomes an island.

The Chobe and Zambezi flood can be very high and the road from Ngoma to Serondela Lodge is flooded and inaccessible most of the time during the year. The free transfer from Kasane is in itself a unique game viewing experience. Pick up time is between 14h00 and 15h00 at Kasane immigration jetty. The duration of a transfer differs from pick-up and drop-off. On arrival to the lodge the pick-up transfer will be a sighting boat cruise and it could take from 2 to 3 hours. On departure it will be a direct transfer to Kasane and the duration will be 1 hour. Pick-up and drop-off outside of the allocated pick-up and drop-off times will incur an additional charge.

The lodge offers accommodation in 7 chalets and 1 family chalet. The chalets are river facing, and offer spectacular views with endless photographic opportunities. The chalets are on high ground overlooking the banks of the Chobe River; the south-west facing balconies look onto the Serondela area, famous for herds of elephants and other animals that come to feed and drink. The family chalet is suitable for a family of 4, and each of the 7 chalets contain 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom.

The lodge boasts 2 lounge areas and a dining area housed at the main building, located on a raised deck providing lovely views of the river front. The lodge also offers a bar, free Wi-Fi, and a swimming pool, ideal for those hot summer days.
