Description
Sewula Gorge Lodge is situated on the river's edge, at the base of a waterfall in a spectacular gorge on Malanspruit Farm, which is 7 km from the town of Estcourt in KwaZulu-Natal.
Comfortable accommodation is offered in 4 chalets with balconies with views of the beautiful scenery. Each chalet has its own bathroom, and is equipped with a fan, safe for valuable items, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
The lodge offers braai facilities and secure parking for guests.
Activities at the lodge include swimming in the river, bass fishing in the dam, and bird watching. An abundance of fauna and flora can be found along the marked walks and around the gorge. The lodge is built in a National Heritage Site; there is a paleontology site on the hill behind the lodge, and an Anglo-Boer War Monument site to the one side of the lodge.
