Description
Shamwari Explorer Camp is situated in Shamwari Private Game Reserve, and offers tented accommodation booked on an all-inclusive basis. The reserve is home to Africa’s Big 5 and is malaria free. Shamwari Private Game Reserve is situated in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
This explorer camp offers guests an original safari experience of being on foot and sleeping around the fire at night, within the comfort of a bush tent. Accommodation at Shamwari Explorer Camp comprises 3 canvas tents, which can accommodate 2 adults in each. Each tent is furnished with 2 single beds, and features a private outdoor solar shower. Each tent contains an LED light for night time use, insect repellent, shower gel and shampoo, and other essentials.
Breakfast and other meals are included, and are served around the campfire or in the dining tent. The camp also boasts a rock pool and another shared outdoor shower.
Guests can enjoy walks through the game reserve, whereby their guide will enhance their experience with birding, cultural history and natural history of the area, along with ample opportunity to spot some Big 5 animals.
Shamwari Explorer Camp is a seasonal establishment which is only available for booking between October and May. Guests can only book to arrive on set days, either on a Tuesday or Friday; and must stay for 2 nights.
