Description
Shikwari Nature Reserve offers 2 camps on the reserve near Kruger Park and The Panorama Route
The 6 luxury thatched suites are tucked into the natural bush; with private bathrooms and outdoor showers, a small patio and decorated with stylish furniture, a mini-fridge stocked on request. On arrival fresh ground coffee, a French coffee press, a choice of quality teas and homemade cookies are provided. Rate includes a 2 course dinner and full breakfast. There is also a turndown service with chocolates & a paid laundry service.
The main camp offers a fully licensed bar with a TV lounge with DStv premium. Free Wi-Fi is available to both camps in the lounge and verandah area. Guests can relax on the shady lodge veranda and cool off in the swimming pool with an amazing view.
Breakfast and dinner are usually served al fresco on the verandah or deck boma. Pangolin guest also come to this camp for meals.
Pangolin Rondavels is a comfortable budget option, this camp is approximately 500 m from the main lodge. There are 4 traditional thatched rondavels and a pool. The camp comprises 2 rondavels with a bush bathroom that includes an outdoor shower, covered toilet and basin plus 2 rondavels which share a separate bathroom and an outdoor shower. All bedding and towels are provided. All rooms have ceiling fans, a wardrobe, seating, and hospitality trays with kettle, milk, coffee and teas. A boma is available for braais where guests need to bring with their own braai tools, tableware and charcoal. A full breakfast is included in the rate and a DBB Rate is also available. All guests have access to free Wi-Fi connection at the main lodge; as well as a TV with DStv premium. There is also a communal lounge at the camp where guests can relax on inclement days.
The reserve has giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, impala, nyala, waterbuck, bushbuck, duiker, steenbok and ostrich plus a variety of different birds species.
Guided game walks available at the lodge and trips to the Kruger National Park with a FGASA guide in an open game vehicle. The reserve is also close to a variety of other activities that includes quad biking and Jessica hippo, The Panorama Route and the Graskop Gorge Lift, Blyde Boat Trip.
